My name is Tyler Dunnahoo. After living in Austin for about ten years I left my job and lifestyle to teach in my hometown of Roswell, NM. I have dabbled in journalism, collage, experimental music (lol), film, and other wastes of time. The only thing that really made sense to me is music, food, and the pleasures and mysteries of being alive. I look forward to chilling out as often as I can. Thanks for listening!

Mi nombre es Tyler Dunnahoo. Después de vivir en Austin durante unos diez años, dejé mi trabajo y mi estilo de vida para enseñar en mi ciudad natal de Roswell, Nuevo México. Italian vaporwave with textures as elusive and fluid as the city its named after. “運命の歌” translates to The Schicksalslied, an orchestra piece composed by Joseph Brahms which sounds nothing like what Coldvenice is going for here. If you like water, take a dive into coldvenice.

Midwestern free-punkers sing a tune about having fun in a place similar to a prison. It isn’t clear where they’re at exactly but judging from the vibe of the tune its hopefully a lot different than an actual prison. The self titled album this track comes from is a modern garage punk classic.

Once I went through Gulfport, MS and saw a bathroom tag that read HEAVEN OR MISSISSIPPI? Personally I can’t answer this question but I think I can answer a more important question: MSPAINT OR MISSISSIPPI? I choose both. This band takes a great artistic device and combines it with an even greater platform than Microsoft: the state of Mississippi. The best art never forgets its home.

I find myself tired of bands who have the nerve to call themselves things they aren’t evocative of. Thankfully there’s Smirk, who sound like the biggest smart ass in the classroom. Hailing from Los Angeles, California, they recall all of the classic weirdos who have played music in their city while creating a craft solely their own. Finally, a band that lives up to their name!

This sounds like the way a dive bar smells. This is a huge endorsement for me. Your enjoyment of the New Orleans band Schizos could depend on your appreciation of a good dirty time. Likely it will just depend on whether you have killer taste or not.

Recorded during the novel year of 2020 in the city of Atlanta, Cul de Sac is about the existential dread one experiences of being stuck in an endless suburban neighborhood on the decline. Remain Intact is a concept album about not losing your shit in times of crisis and it is one of the most inspiring pieces of music I’ve heard lately.

Australians do nihilism better. Spiritual Mafia are a supergroup of superstars from Down Under who write songs about taking baths, doing yoga, and dining at hip urban restaurants over riffs that sound like Flipper and 90s nu-metal turntable scratches. Hybrid Animal is a surreal portrait of a dude talking about some mutant creature trying to escape his body, however.

Low Life write tunes about coming from the gutter and coming out on top. Although Sydney is often touted as one of the world’s most livable cities, it has a reputation for criminality and depravity, and has gotten comparisons to cities like Calcutta, Albuquerque, Bogota, and Jerusalem. This is a tune about agony and ecstasy that only the finest sons and daughters from a place that understands both could produce.

I don’t think I’ve known real joy before I heard this song. Sounds like Judas Priest collaborated with Sprockets from SNL after a night of binging poppers. I love every second of it. This is music to play on a Saturday night.

It’s unfortunate that butt rock is often used in a pejorative sense. Think about it: two of the greatest things in existence (rock n’ roll, asses, etc.) have united together to entertain you, the listener, and the best thing you got to say about it is “Oh, this sounds like something Steven Tyler would sweat to”. Thankfully Brower are here to save butt rock from cynicism. Thank you Brower for showing us the capabilities of electric guitars and asses.

I was a fish in my previous life. I know this because everytime I see a huge body of water I take a dive into it and get sad when I have to return to the surface. Lavender Flu live and record near the Pacific Ocean in the state of Oregon. Their music is cosmic biker rock meant to destroy the rigid confines that our technocratic nightmare planet have imposed on us innocent bystanders. Lavender Flu are the truth!

His new band, Rider/Horse, recorded with a member of Les Savy Fav, reminds me of the power and joy one experiences when hearing live music. It’s hard to remember that in a town like Roswell. Capturing that magic on tape is no easy feat. Music forever!

El álbum homónimo del que proviene esta pista es un clásico moderno del garage punk.

Hybrid Animal es un retrato surrealista de un tipo que habla de una criatura mutante que intenta escapar de su cuerpo.
