Parche completo Pure Data descargable, incluye varias GUI.
En este video tutorial explico brevemente cómo podemos diseñar y generar una GUI o interfaz gráfica de control de usuario personalizada en Pure Data mediante la utilización de un archivo .GIF y los componentes que el propio puredata nos provee.
En este caso, nuestra GUI nos sirve para controlar un weird paint sampler desarrollado por weird electronics cuyo funcionamiento total se compone de varios sub-parches localizados en el archivo descargable motor.pd.
Comienzo explicando brevemente de que se compone este archivo, sus diferentes subpatches y funciones de cada sector.
Por ejemplo el sector que se encarga de hacer que el LED titile en rojo y blanco como indicador de “estar grabando” o la instancia que recibe las dimensiones del array según la duración que le asignamos a nuestro sample desde el numberbox de nuestra GUI.
Luego explico como cargar una imagen .GIF en puredata mediante la utilización del objeto “iem_image” y la instalación y declaración de la librería correspondiente.
Luego comienzo a realizar la conexión entre la GUI y el motor, mediante la colocación de SEND y RECEIVE internos y externos en los objetos que vamos creando y colocando sobre la imagen en nuestra GUI.
Seguido de una breve demostración de que efectivamente el coneccionado está funcionando y se acuerdo a la duración del sample asignada obtenemos la visualización de la grabación en nuestro array y la reproducimos con la posibilidad de octavar cada unas de las notas que agregamos utilizando el octavador o la función “octavador” incluida también dentro del parche general.

Shis unusual es un proyecto ruidista industrial bailable dedicado a la fabricación de ritmos y sonidos mediante la utilización de instrumentos auto construidos.
Destràs de Shis Unusual se encuentra Micaela Perez. Una artista multidisciplinaria, técnica y desarrolladora electrónica local.
Su fuerte es la síntesis sonora electrónica y el desarrolo de herramientas dentro del area de la tecnología musical pero entre sus obras podemos encontrar desde colecciones virtuales de imágenes conceptuales y ediciones físicas de narrativas con lenguaje técnico hasta varias composiciones audiovisuales.
Actualmente trabaja en el desarrollo de herramientas hìbridas (software y hardware) dedicadas a la producción audiovisual y al arte electrónico de sistemas en su propia cooperativa creativa: Weird Electronics.
Weird electronics es un proyecto que busca expandir los límites del desarrollo electronico híbrido de herramientas de creación audiovisual a través de la investigación y combinación de múltiples disciplinas ligadas al arte y la ciencia.
Una industria cooperativa comunicada con la producción de conocimiento.
Desplazando el área de desarrollo hacia un ámbito de conexión, relación e intercambio, nutriendo así, la dimensión industrial del proyecto.
Dedicado a la investigación y fabricación de dispositivos electrónicos híbridos empleando diversas tecnologías de software y hardware libre.

Downloadable Pure Data full patch, includes various GUIs.
In this video tutorial I briefly explain how we can design and generate a custom GUI or graphical user interface in Pure Data by using a .GIF file and the components that Pure Data provides.
In this case, our GUI helps us to control a weird paint sampler developed by weird electronics, the total operation of which is made up of several sub-patches located in the downloadable file motor.pd.
I begin by briefly explaining what this file is made of, its different sub-patches and functions of each sector.
For example, the sector that is responsible for making the LED blink in red and white as an indicator of “recording” or the instance that receives the dimensions of the array according to the duration that we assign to our sample from the numberbox of our GUI.
Then I explain how to load a .GIF image in Pure Data by using the “iem_image” object and the installation and declaration of the corresponding library.
Then I start to make the connection between the GUI and the engine, by placing internal and external SEND and RECEIVE in the objects that we are creating and placing on the image in our GUI.
Followed by a brief demonstration that indeed the connected one is working and according to the assigned sample duration, we obtain the visualization of the recording in our array and we reproduce it with the possibility of octaving each of the notes we add using the octave or the “octaver” function also included within the general patch.

Shis unusual is a danceable industrial noise project dedicated to the manufacture of rhythms and sounds through the use of self-made instruments.
Behind Shis Unusual is Micaela Perez. A multidisciplinary artist and mechnical electronic developer.
Her strength is electronic sound synthesis and the development of tools within the musical technology area, but among her works we can find virtual collections of conceptual images and physical editions of narratives with technical language as well as various audiovisual compositions.
She currently works in the development of hybrid tools (software and hardware) dedicated to audiovisual production and electronic systems art in her own creative cooperative: Weird Electronics.
Weird electronics is a project that seeks to expand the limits of hybrid electronic development of audiovisual creation tools through the investigation and combination of multiple disciplines linked to art and science.
A cooperative industry communicated with the production of knowledge, moving the development area towards an area of connection, relationship and exchange, thus nurturing the industrial dimension of the project.
Dedicated to the research and manufacture of hybrid electronic devices using various free hardware and software technologies.
